Day 1: Delhi
Today upon arrival you will be welcomed with a Garland at the Airport.
Later transferred to the Hotel. Rest of the Day free for own activities.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
Morning combined sight-seeing
tour of Old Delhi & New Delhi, visiting Birla Temple, Jama Mosque, Red
Fort, Raj Ghat, Gandhi Museum, Humayun Tomb, Qutub Minar, drive through
India Gate and also visit the President House and the Parliament House.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi - Agra
Morning
transfer to the railway station to leave by Shatabadi Express for Agra. Upon
arrival transfer to your hotel. Afternoon visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Agra
Morning visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, once the capital of
the great Mughal emperor Akbar. On return to Agra afternoon is at leisure.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 5: Agra - Gwalior
Morning transfer to
railway station to leave for Gwalior, home of the famous Scindia dynasty. On
arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon a tour of the spectacular fort with its
riot of colorful tile work and outstanding stonework.
Day
6: Gwalior - Orchha - Khajuraho
Morning transfer to railway station once
again to board Shatabadi Express to leave for Jhansi. Upon arrival drive to
Orchha for lunch and absorb the magnificence of this one-time center of the
Bundela Kings before proceeding to Khajuraho. Overnight at hotel at
Khajuraho.
Day 7: Khajuraho
Morning tour the famous
Chandela dynasty temples built in the 10th and 11th centuries, noted for
their erotic facets of the Kama Sutra. The afternoon is at leisure.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Khajuraho - Varanasi
Today you will be transfer to airport to
leave by flight for Varanasi, one of the holiest cities in India. On arrival
transfer to Hotel. An afternoon tour gives you an introduction to this
sacred city. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 9: Varanasi - Delhi
An
early morning boat ride on the Ganges. Later proceed to Sarnath, where
Buddha preached his first sermon and a new religion was born. Evening
transfer to airport to leave by flight for Delhi .Upon arrival transfer to
hotel.
Day 10: Delhi
Day free to explore the city on your own. Evening transfer to airport
to fly back home.
Extension Tour
Day
10: Varanasi / Bodhgaya
Morning after breakfast drive to Bodhgaya. On arrival transfer to hotel
for overnight stay.
Day 11: In Bodhgaya
Full day tour of Bodhgaya visit the Nahabodhi temple, where the Buddha attained
Enlightenment. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Bodhgaya / Rajgir
Morning after breakfast drive to Rajgir. On arrival tour of RAJGIR, where
the first Buddhist council was convened at the Satupaparini Cave immediately
after the Mahaparinivarana of the Lord Buddha . Here you will see the site
of the Monastery Venu Vana Vihar -Built by the King Bimbisara as an offering
to the Buddha, Karanda Tank - Buddhas Bath & Griddhakoot Hill. Overnight
at the hotel.
Day 13: Rajgir / Patna
Morning after breakfast leave to Patna, en route visit NALANDA- the site
of a Buddhist University of great repute which came up much after Buddha
passed in to Mahaparinivarna. There are ruined temples & Shilpas within
the university complex. Nalanda museum houses several undamaged statues
of Buddha, a collection of Buddhist Coins. Overnight at the hotel in Patna.
Day
14: In Patna
After Breakfast see Golghar & Jalan Museum in Patna and back and stay
at hotel. After lunch, we will visit Sher Shah Suri Masjid , Patna Museum
Kumhrar , Martyrs Memorial , Pather ki Masjid , Biological Park and Handicraft
Museums. Afternoon we will leave for Vaishali . Half day sight-seeing of
Vaishali - the place of Mahavira one of the Jain Tirthankars and also the
place is of Buddha where attain of Mahanirvana was declared. Overnight at
hotel in Patna.
Day 15: Patna / Kushinagar (253 kms)
Today you will make a drive towards Kushinagar Enroute Visting Vaishali.Upon
arrival Transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 16: Kushinagar / Lumbini (197 kms)
Today you will make a Visit to the Rambhar Stupa which marks Buddha's cremation
ground. Also visit the Mahaparinirvana temple which houses the recumbent
figure of lord Buddha. Later in the evening you will make a drive towards
Lumbini where Buddha was born 2500 years ago. Upon arrival transfer to the
Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day
17: Lumbini / Saravasti (183 kms)
Today you will make a drive towards Saravasti enroute visiting Kapilavastu.
Upon arrival after wash and Change you will make a Visit to a famous monastery
where Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy seasons preaching. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 18: Saravasti / Lucknow (170 km) / Delhi (1535/2145 hrs)
Today you will make a drive towards Lucknow to board Train from Lucknow
for Delhi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the Hotel. Overnight
at Hotel.
Day 19: Delhi
Today you will be free till transferred to the Airport to board Flight for
onward Destination
